"Roy. Roy," Johnny whispered in close to his partners' ear.

"Mmmm. What?" Roy moaned.

"Get up," Johnny replied giving his partner a shake.

Roy opened his eyes and blinked several times before bringing Johnny's image into focus. "Why?"

"You promised to help me."

"What time is it?" he croaked.

"It's 4-AM."

Roy ran his hand over his face. "You're kidding me, right?"

"No, Roy. I'm not. Now come on and get up. We don't have much time."

"For what, and why am I getting up?"

"Remember," Johnny said, his voice barely above a whisper as he nods his head in the direction of Chet's bunk.

"Oh," Roy replied. "Just give me a minute and I'll join you," he added yawning heavily.

"Okay. I'll meet you out back."

Roy gave Johnny the thumbs up and watched his partner hurry out of the dorm. As the door swung close, Roy yawned and rolled over on his bunk and closed his eyes.

"Roy!" Johnny said, his voice tipping on the edge of annoyance. "Wake up."

"Huh," Roy replied sucking in a deep breath. "Oh, it's you again."

"Oh it's me again," Johnny mimicked. "Roy, we are running out of time. Before you know it the tones will go off either to get us up or send us on a run."

"But...Johnny...I'm beat. Can't we do this another time."

"No. You know we have to do this now. Besides, we don't want anyone to see us doing it."

"Junior, you're gonna be the death of me yet," Roy answered as he swung his legs over the side of the bed.

"Hurry up, will ya."

"Would you stop getting your turnouts in a knot?" Roy replied. "I'm coming."

"Well you're not coming fast enough," Johnny pronounced grabbing Roy arm and dragging him toward the door leading to the bay.

"Would you stop it. I know how to walk on my own, okay," Roy said brushing Johnny's hand off his arm.

"How about the both of you stop it," Hank roared. "Some of us around here are tying to get some sleep."

"Yeah," Chet concured. Then Marco and Mike added their own words of irritation.

"Now look what you've done," Johnny snarled before walking back toward his bunk. "Everyone is awake now."

"And if you don't get back to bed and back to sleep, I'm gonna..." Hank said only to be cut off by the tones sounding for the engine only.

"Thanks, Gage," Stoker growled as he pulled on his turnouts and rushed past the paramedic.

Once the Engine left the station, Roy walked over to his partner's bunk. "Well?"

"I don't feel like it anymore, Roy."

"You wake me up and disturb the rest of the crew and now you don't want to do it."

"That's what I said, Roy," Johnny replied flopping his arm over his eyes. "I'm going back to sleep and I suggest you do the same. Before we know it it will be time to get up," he added before closing his eyes.

Roy stared at his partner and shook his head. "There are days, I just don't understand you, Johnny. Now would be the perfect time to set your prank against Chet in motion."

"Yeah, and that is the problem. He'll know who did it. Good night Roy."

"...like he wouldn't know anyway," Roy mumbled walking toward the exit leading to the bay.

"Where are you going, Roy?" Johnny asked pushing himself up on his elbows.

"I can't sleep so I thought I would see what's on TV."

"Gees Roy, you should be more like me. I can sleep anywhere at anytime." Seconds later Johnny feels a pillow land in his face.

"Hey, that's not nice," he yelled as the door to the dorm swung closed. Shrugging, he snuggled back under his blanket and soon feel asleep.
